1. Digital Product – No Refunds

All our roasts are custom-made digital products delivered via email. Because of the personalised nature of these digital items, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges.

2. Use of AI Assistance

RoastYourEx.com uses artificial intelligence tools, including ChatGPT 4o by OpenAI, to assist in drafting roast content. All content is reviewed, edited, refined and finalised by the very human RoastYourEx writer to ensure tone, coherence, and compliance with OpenAI’s use policies. By using our service, you consent to the use of AI in content generation and understand that the final roast is a fictional, exaggerated, satirical interpretation of your submitted story—crafted by the very talented RoastYourEx writer. The RoastYourEx writer is a poet who knows it, with a knack for bitchy comedic writing and for turning everything into an LOL joke.

3. Story Submission, Testimonial Submission & Consent

By submitting your story or testimonial to us, you confirm the following:

• You are 18 years of age or older. Some content may include mature or adult themes based on user submissions. If you are under 18, do not use this site or submit content.
• You are the rightful owner of the content and have the right to share it. You are solely responsible for how the roast is used or shared. If you choose to publish, post, or share your roast publicly (e.g., on social media, blogs, forums, or other platforms), you do so entirely at your own discretion and risk.RoastYourEx.com is not responsible for any consequences that may arise from such sharing, including but not limited to emotional distress, personal offense, reputational harm, or conflicts with third parties. You accept full responsibility for how and where the content is distributed once delivered to you.
• You consent to the transformation of your story into a roast for comedic and entertainment purposes.
• You understand that the roast is not a factual representation, but a satirical reimagining.
• You understand that roast length and style may vary depending on the content submitted and creative direction.
• Roasts are written in a comedic, often exaggerated tone and may include sarcasm, satire, and pointed observations. By purchasing, you confirm that you are aware this content is intended for entertainment and may include adult language or themes.
• RoastYourEx.com reserves the right to refuse, remove, or redact any story that contains harmful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate content, consistent with the restrictions outlined in Section 4 of these Terms & Conditions.
• RoastYourEx.com is not responsible for how you or others react to your roast. We are not liable for emotional responses, interpersonal fallout, or any indirect damages arising from the use of our content.
• RoastYourEx.com does not provide therapy or mental health advice.

By submitting a testimonial, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older.
• You consent to your testimonial being published, in whole or in part, on RoastYourEx.com and associated promotional channels (including social media, newsletters, and marketing material).
• Your testimonial may include adult language or themes if you chose to include them in your submission.
• RoastYourEx.com reserves the right to refuse, remove, or redact any testimonial that contains harmful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate content, consistent with the restrictions outlined in Section 4 of these Terms & Conditions.
• RoastYourEx.com is not responsible for any emotional distress, offense, or reputational impact experienced by third parties who may read published testimonials.

4. What You Submit

You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the information you provide in stories and testimonials. We do not fact-check submissions.

We reserve the right to reject, redact, or remove any submission (story or testimonial) that includes:

• Abuse, assault, trauma, suicide, or death
• Personal medical or mental health information
• Vulnerable physical traits (disabilities, disfigurement, etc.)
• Neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, etc.)
• Cultural, racial, or religious traits
• Gender identity or sexual orientation
• Family grief or loss (deaths, estrangement, illness affecting loved ones)
• Revenge or hate speech
• Harassment or threats
• Sensitive legal matters

If your submission contains any of the above, those sections will be removed from the final roast. Submissions consisting entirely of such content will be rejected outright, and no refund will be issued.

5. Delivery Timeline

You will receive your roast as a downloadable PDF via email within 3–5 business days of confirmed payment. (Payments are processed securely through Revolut and usually clear within 24 hours.)

If you haven’t received your roast by then, please contact us at help@roastyourex.com.

We aim to deliver within 3–5 business days, but please forgive any additional delays due to illness, backlog, holidays, or technical issues.

6. Roast Content

Our roasts are created with a mix of savage humor, exaggeration, and sass. They are intended as laughter therapy and entertainment — not to defame anyone. We do not include identifying details, and real names are never used.

By submitting your story, you grant us permission to creatively reinterpret your submission for the purposes of humor and emotional relief. You acknowledge that RoastYourEx.com reserves the right to edit, adapt, or omit any part of your submission at its sole discretion. This includes adjusting language, tone, or specific details to align with our content guidelines, safety standards, and comedic style.

Please note: The final roast may differ slightly from your original submission for clarity, creativity, and entertainment purposes— with your voice and experience still at the heart of it.

7. Personal Use & Non-Commercial Rights

Use of Stories: By submitting your story, you grant RoastYourEx.com permission to use, adapt, publish short excerpts, or draw creative inspiration from roast content derived from your submission for commercial or promotional purposes. All identifying details will remain anonymous.

All roast PDFs are provided for your personal enjoyment. You are free to share or post your roast publicly at your own discretion and risk. However, you may not resell, reproduce for commercial purposes, or claim authorship of the content without written permission from RoastYourEx.com.

Use of Testimonials: By submitting a testimonial, you grant RoastYourEx.com the right to use, reproduce, and publish your testimonial for promotional purposes, without compensation. This includes use on the website, social media platforms, and other marketing materials. Testimonials may be published with your chosen display name, avatar, or location as provided in your submission form.

8. Payments & Security

Payments
Payments are securely processed via Revolut, and You can pay with any major debit or credit card. Full payment must be received before we begin creating your roast. As this is a custom digital product, no refunds will be issued once work has begun.

Payments are processed via Revolut. We do not store your financial information. For payment disputes or fraud concerns, please contact Revolut or your card provider directly.

Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You acknowledge that any data you provide is submitted at your own risk, and RoastYourEx.com cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, including written roasts, graphics, logos, and website design, is the property of RoastYourEx.com and is protected by EU and international copyright law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. No part of this website or digital roasts may be copied, republished, or reused without permission, except where permitted under fair use law.

10. Restrictions

You may not use RoastYourEx.com or its services for any illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or abusive purposes. This includes submitting stories or testimonials that contain prohibited content (such as hate speech, threats, or sensitive personal details listed in Section 4). We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, reject testimonial submissions, and block access to individuals who misuse the site or violate these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

RoastYourEx.com and its contributors (including but not limited to its writer(s), editor(s), and staff) are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service. This includes (but is not limited to) emotional distress, personal offense, reputational impact, financial loss, or third party reactions if you choose to share your story, roast or testimonial privately, publicly or if others access them on our site. You assume full responsibility for how you use or distribute any content you submit or is provided to you.

We are also not responsible for any emotional distress, offense or reactions experienced by third parties who may read published testimonials or other user-submitted content on our site, or associated promotional channels (including social media, newsletters, and marketing material).

By using this site and services, you agree that RoastYourEx.com cannot be held liable for how you or others interpret, use, or react to the content provided.

All roasts and testimonials are provided for entertainment purposes only—use at your own discretion.

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the website following changes means you accept the revised terms.

• Any breach of these Terms and Conditions;
• Any content you submit that infringes on the rights of others or causes harm;
• Any consequences resulting from how you choose to use, publish, or share your roast or testimonial, including claims of emotional distress, personal offense, reputational harm, or offense by third parties.
• Any consequences experienced by individuals, general site visitors, or third parties accessing or engaging with RoastYourEx.com content (including roasts, testimonials, stories, or associated promotional channels (including social media, newsletters, and marketing material).

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. By using this website, you agree that any disputes will be handled in the courts of Cyprus. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest will still apply.

14. Disclaimer of Warranty

Your use of this website, roasts, testimonials, stories, downloadable content, emails, PDFs, and any related services or promotional materials is entirely at your own risk. All content and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

RoastYourEx.com disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The services will meet your expectations or requirements;
• The services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
